CORNER BROOK The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary in Corner Brook has arrested and charged a 15-year-old boy in relation into break and entries at a church on Clarence Street and a school on St. John’s Avenue.
Some time between 4 p.m. on Oct. 11 and 7:30 a.m. on Oct. 15, a break and enter occurred at a school on St. John’s Avenue. An undisclosed quantity of cash was reported stolen.
On Thursday, at around 3:45 p.m., the RNC Patrol Services and Forensic Identification Section responded to a report of a break and enter at a church located on Clarence Street. An undisclosed quantity of cash was reported stolen.
As a result of the investigation, the teen was arrested without incident at around noon Friday. Police said they had not yet recovered the missing money as of press time Friday.
The youth has been charged with two counts of break and enter and two breaches of a court order. He was held to appear in provincial court Friday afternoon, when the matter was set over until Monday.
The RNC is continuing to investigate these offences and is seeking the assistance of the general public.
