Corner Brook woman reports assault after being treated at hospital

CORNER BROOK  A 28-year-old Corner Brook man was arrested for allegedly assaulting a woman known to him sometime Wednesday evening.

A 34-year-old woman went to the RNC headquarters to report the alleged assault just after 3 a.m. Thursday morning. She had been treated at Western Memorial Regional Hospital for what police described as non-life threatening injuries.

She reported there was a physical altercation, said RNC Const. Scott Mosher. The man was charged with assault, uttering threats, and two breaches of probation. He was released from custody to appear in provincial court in December.
