CORNER BROOK — A preliminary inquiry into the sex charges against John William Flynn of Corner Brook will now be held Feb. 10.
The inquiry to determine if there is sufficient evidence for the case to go to trial had initially been scheduled for last week, but did not proceed.
Flynn, 47, is charged with sexual assault, sexual interference and invitation to sexual touching involving a boy under the age of 16 in relation to offences alleged to have taken place in Corner Brook between January and March 2012. A fourth charge, namely a sexual assault of a second male, is alleged to have taken place between Jan. 1, 2009 and April 30, 2011.
Flynn has pleaded not guilty to all four of the charges against him.
