Stephenville man charged with two break and enters on same day

STEPHENVILLE  The 29-year-old Stephenville man arrested and charged for breaking into a residence early Tuesday morning was arrested again that afternoon with breaking into the same residence.

He is now facing more charges from the afternoon incident.

Members of the Bay St. George RCMP attended the residence on Fairview Drive in Stephenville after receiving the call at 3:15 a.m. on and removed the man, who was known to the people in the residence.

He was released from custody on Tuesday for court at a later date.

At 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday police received a report of an assault and threat from the same residence on Fairview Avenue. They attended and arrested the man, charging him this time with uttering threats, failure to comply with an undertaking, failing to comply with a probation order, break and enter and mischief.

One of the conditions of his undertaking from earlier in the day is that he not be in or near that residence.

He is expected to attend court via teleconference today.
