Water outage

CORNER BROOK  Residents of St. Aiden's Road and a portion of Curling Street are without water as the City of Corner Brook conducts emergency repairs to the water distribution system in that area of the city Thursday morning.

The repairs also require the closure of St. Aiden's Road to through traffic.

The water outage and road closure, which commenced at 9:30 a.m., is expected to last between six and eight hours.

Residents can call the City of Corner Brook’s Water Information Line at 634-7711 or visit the city’s website, www.cornerbrook.com, at any time to view current boil water advisories, water outages and road closures.

With over 10 major water outages this fall, and most of Corner Brook has relatively new pipes compared to other cities, I guess Corner Brook has water infrastructure quality issues. Definitely not a good start for the new Corner Brook City Council.
