STEPHENVILLE  The 29-year-old Stephenville man, charged with breaking into a residence twice in one day, has been released from custody and is set to return to court Monday to enter a plea.

The accused was arrested Tuesday for allegedly breaking into the residence earlier that morning, and then again in the afternoon.

Members of the Bay St. George RCMP attended the residence on Fairview Drive in Stephenville after receiving the call at 3:15 a.m. Tuesday and removed the man, who was known to the people in the residence. He was released from custody on Tuesday for court at a later date.

At 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, police received a report of an assault and threat from the same residence on Fairview Avenue. They attended and arrested the man, charging him this time with uttering threats, failure to comply with an undertaking, failing to comply with a probation order, breaking and entering and mischief.

One of the conditions of his undertaking from the morning arrest was that he was not to be in or near the residence.
