Corner Brook schools team up with police for food drive

Nathaniel Vincent of C.C. Loughlin, left, and Riley Penney of Humber Elementary team up Tuesday to give a hand in the collecting of food from schools throughout Corner Brook to go to the Bay of Islands food bank.

CORNER BROOK  Schools throughout Corner Brook have teamed up with the city's RNC to stock shelves of the local food bank this year.

Elementary school students partnered with police officers to visit each of the schools, including the two junior highs, to collect the food bank donations made by studets and staff. The Bay of Islands food bank provides meals to more than 1,500 families during the winter months.
