CORNERâ€ˆBROOK Intoxicated people and traffic complaints kept the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary busy in Corner Brook Friday and early today.
At 9 p.m. Friday officers responded to report of an intoxicated person in the area of West Street. A 39-year-old woman was detained under the detention of intoxicated persons act.
During two separate incidents police responded to reports of intoxicated persons on Broadway. These calls resulted in two men being detained under the detention of intoxicated persons act.
Police also responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver on Mill Road at 9 p.m. Friday, however, the complaint was determined to be unfounded.
Meanwhile,police were called to Gibbons Avenue and Noseworthyâ€™s Lane as a result of traffic complaints.
While no tickets were issued on Gibbons Avenue, the registered owner of a vehicle was given a warning for obstructing traffic on Noseworthyâ€™s Lane. The owner moved the vehicle.
In addition to those calls, the RNC arrested a 28-year-old woman from Corner Brook for theft under $5,000 from Colemans on Caribou Road. She was released to appear in court at a later date.
