CORNER BROOK Life has returned to normal for many Corner Brook residents and businesses following a two-hour power outage Saturday morning.
The electricity stopped flowing around 8:41 a.m., according to the Newfoundland Power website's "Power Outages" information section.
The website said the outage was unplanned and had been caused by equipment failure. The utility said power was expected to be fully restored by 11 a.m., but electrical services were restored by around 10:35 a.m.
Some areas had power back before that.
The areas affected included much of the Humber Heights, Lower Townsite and downtown Corner Brook, including Main Street, Herlad Avenue, Broadway, Mount Bernard Avenue and University Drive.
