Collisions result in injuries

CORNER BROOK  Two people were injured in two separate accidents in Corner Brook on Thursday.

One person was taken to Western Memorial Regional Hospital following a four-vehicle collision on the Exit 6 off ramp to Corner Brook near the Lewin Parkway at 10:30 a.m. Police say the person’s injuries were non-life-threatening.

The vehicles involved in the collision sustained moderate to major damage.

At 11:30 a.m. a two-vehicle collision occurred on Main Street near Mill Road. In this case one person was taken to hospital with minor injuries. The vehicles involved sustained minor damages.

Those two accidents were among eight complaints of motor vehicle collisions the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary responded to during the 24-hour period that ended at 4 a.m. today.

The other six collisions did not involve any reports of injuries.
