CORNER BROOK  The case of a Royal Newfoundland Constabulary officer charged with making indecent phone calls drags on.

Crown attorney Vikas Khaladkar and defence lawyer Jamie Merrigan are continuing to work out disclosure issues as the matter was called in provincial court in Corner Brook today. The information for which the case is being built on should be resolved when it is called again Jan. 30.

Kelly has been charged with two counts of making indecent phone calls and one count of mischief.

The allegations are that he made calls to different individuals on Oct. 15 and Oct. 17, 2012.

The mischief charge alleges Kelly made a statement that caused police to investigate another person suspected of committing an offence they did not commit.

Kelly has been suspended without pay until his court matters have been dealt with.
