Police gave a seven-day suspension to a Deer Lake man after a two-car collision in the Farm Road area near Elwood High School.

The accident took place at 8:30 a.m. Friday. Because an investigation is still pending, the Deer Lake RCMP are not releasing much information except that the driver in question set off the warning light on the roadside breathalyzer, resulting in the suspension. There were no injuries as a result of the accident.

Elsewhere Friday, police say a collision occured in Pasadena when one vehicle hit another as it was backing out of a driveway. There were no injuries and alcohol was not a factor. Police are still investigating and as of Friday afternoon, no charges had been laid.
