A man from Stephenville Crossing will be going to trial this spring on charges related to alleged domestic assaults.

Not guilty pleas were entered for Hadrian Christian Falle, 28, by his lawyer Brian Dunphy when the matters were called in provincial court in Corner Brook Tuesday morning.

Falle was not present in court.

The six charges against Falle include two counts of assault and single counts of assault with a weapon, forcible confinement, uttering threats and break and entry. The charges were filed after Deer Lake RCMP responded to a domestic dispute in Cormack on April 5, 2013.

A woman who had reported she had been assaulted by Falle told police he had also assaulted her on two prior occasions. The woman told police the first incident had involved a weapon, the second time had involved Falle breaking into her home and that he would not let her leave the home during the third incident.

A one-day trial has been scheduled for May 14.
