The House of Assembly will officially open on Wednesday for the spring session of the legislature.
Government House Leader Darin King made the formal announcement in a news release sent out Friday afternoon.

The House of Assembly

The legislature will meet briefly Friday morning to formally prorogue, and then MHAs will come back after lunch for the throne speech that officially kicks of the session.

Chief Justice Derek Green will read the throne speech as the official stand-in for Lt.-Gov. Frank Fagan, who would normally do the job.

The government’s media release did not give any indication why Fagan isn’t available.

Interesting. The NDP are a non-issue since the October scandal, the longer Tom Marshall remains as interim Premier the less significant Mr. Ball has become. Betting Tom will run, remain on and win the next election.
