The organizational and operational review of the City of Corner Brook will start on Thursday when staff from KPMG travel to Corner Brook to meet with council and senior staff.
KPMG was selected out of 12 consulting firms that responded to a request for proposals issued in February.
The city has executed an agreement with KPMG and the contract for the review started this week.
Following the initial meeting on Thursday, representatives of KPMG will conduct interviews with some members of senior staff and with representatives of the various labour groups in the city.
During Monday night’s public council meeting, Mayor Charles Pender also said there will be an opportunity for public input into the process when KPMG returns to the city during the week of April 28.
A final report from the review is expected to be presented to council by June 30.
