Frank Coleman

Frank Coleman, candidate for the leadership of the Progressive Conservative Party of Newfoundland and Labrador, expressed his disappointment Wednesday night on the by-election loss in the District of Virginia Waters.

In a prepared statement, he called Danny Breen a stand-out candidatewho would have made a great representative for the people of that district

“Danny ran a great campaign in a very tight race," he stated. "I am proud of what he achieved. If I become leader I would welcome Danny to be part of the PC team in the 2015 general election.”

Coleman said the by-election loss, while important, is only a setback on the way to rebuilding the PC Party in Newfoundland and Labrador.

“I respect the choice the voters in Virginia Waters made tonight,” he stated. “We know we have a lot of work to do to regain the trust and support of the voters in Newfoundland and Labrador, and I intend to lead the change that is needed to ensure the PCs are the first choice in this province. It has started.”

Mr. Coleman and Mr. Barry will have to very work hard to get my trust and ultimately my Vote in the next general. I feel the Progressive Conservative party have let us all down, particularly the issue surrounding the new hospital in Corner Brook. Mr. Marshall has let us down by giving us only a shielded room in the new hospital and a expensive study on radiation treatment on the West Coast. That's not what the citizens of the West Coast asked for Mr. Marshall. I suggest Mr. Coleman or Mr. Barry pay attention to what happened in Virginia Waters by election as it can be repeated here in Corner Brook. I suggest neither of these persons knock on my door in Humber East if the issue of Cancer treatment on the West Coast is not to the mutual satisfaction of all.

When is this man actually going to come out of hiding and do some public appearances? Does he even have a website or social media presence? Campaign headquarters? And public (not pc party) events? He had my support when he declared his candidacy but has since lost it. STOP BEING A SNUFFALUFFAGUS
