Not only does the City of Corner Brook have an unreliable water distribution system with frequent water outages, but the repairs are taking longer and longer than usual. For example, over the weekend, a good chunk of Eastern Corner Brook experienced an unexpected water outage lasting up to 16 hours, which is grossly unacceptable. Therefore, to prevent frequent water outages from happening again, the City of Corner Brook has to inform residents about planned outages at least one week in advance, maintain a minimum strict restoration standard of at least 6 hours (not 16 hours like April 12), and start using fault tolerant pipe so they are able to handle Corner Brook's harsh weather conditions. Corner Brook City Council, get your water infrastructure and communications act together before this city become "Detroitized".
