Christopher Vaughan has been hired to the position of marketing and communications director with the Stephenville Theatre Festival.
Vaughan is expected to help Stephenville Theatre Festival grow and will manage the festival's overall marketing strategy and execution, while overseeing the brand and promoting user engagement through a variety of multi-media platforms.
"I'm very excited to be working with such a prestigious and well-known theatre company," he said in a prepared release. "I'm impressed with how Stephenville Theatre Festival has evolved to offer audiences high-quality entertainment for more than 30 years."
Vaughan previously spent seven years with The Georgian, Bay St. George's former community newspaper. He garnered several awards and nominations for his work, including a national and two regional award nominations for his biography of festival founder Maxim Mazumdar.
“We are excited to have Christopher join the Stephenville Theatre Festival team. We are looking forward to working with him as we launch into our 2014 season.
“We are sure his expertise and enthusiasm will translate into great things for Stephenville Theatre Festival,” Elizabeth Brown, chair of the board of directors, said in the release.
