A 24-year-old Ship Cove man will be appearing in Stephenville Provincial Court on Tuesday from an incident on Friday involving intimidation with a firearm.

Cst. Derek Hayden said a report was received on Friday at 8 p.m. from Ship Cove that alleged an intoxicated man was using a firearm while threatening others. Members of the RCMP attended shortly after and took the man into custody.

He said there were no shots fired and no injuries. The incident occurred in a home in Ship Cove that wasn’t the residence of the man who was charged.
