A resident of Humber Road called police after several men were banging on their door at about 3:20 this morning.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary responded, and discovered the men had left a local bar and had gone to the wrong house. Alcohol was a factor, according to police.

A 20-year-old man was kept in custody overnight under provisions of the Detention of Intoxicated Persons Act. He was expected to be released when sober.
