Liberals open nominations in three districts

The Liberal Party of Newfoundland and Labrador opened nominations for candidates in three provincial districts on Friday.

Nominations for candidates in St. Barbe, Cartwright-L’Anse au Clair and Carbonear-Harbour Grace will run until noon on May 7. Documentation must be filed at the Liberal Party headquarters, Suite 205, Beothuck Building, 20 Crosbie Place, St. John’s, NL, A1B 3Y8, by the close of nominations.

Should more than one person file nomination papers in any of the districts, in-person voting to select a candidate will take place on May 15.

Times and voting locations will be announced later for any district where a vote is required.

All individuals who are residents of the district, are 14 years of age or older, and have registered with the Liberal Party of Newfoundland and Labrador as a member or supporter by noon on May 10 are eligible to vote in the nomination process.
