With the May long weekend approaching, drivers in the province are reminded they could face fines if they don't pull over for emergency vehicles.

The "move over" law came into effect on Saturday, May 10, a release from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police said Wednesday.

Failure to slow down and move over for emergency vehicles with their lights flashing can result in fines ranging from $300 to $900, along with a penalty of four demerit points for the driver.
