Woman handed driving suspension

A 29-year-old woman was given a driving suspension for drinking and driving in Corner Brook early Saturday morning.

The woman will be prohibited from driving for seven days after it was determined she was driving while having a blood-alcohol content reading of more than 0.5 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood in her system.

The legal limit before a driver may be charged with impaired driving is 0.8 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood.
