It should be a nice sunny day for most of western Newfoundland, although it will be mainly cloudy on the tip of the Northern Peninsula today.
Environment Canada is calling for a mix of sun and cloud for other areas in the region, with temperatures reaching 26 C in the Corner Brook vicinity and 19 in the Port aux Basques area further south.
The high should reach 22 C in St. Anthony.
The winds will be out of the south at around 20 kilometres per hour, with gusts reaching 40 around noon, in the Corner Brook area. The winds will be more southeasterly and gusting to 50 in the Port aux Basques area, while they will be coming from the southwest at around 20 kilometres per hour in St. Anthony.
It will be partly cloudy for much of the west coast tonight, with fog moving inland in the Port aux Basques area and temperatures getting down to between 14 and 18.
It will be mostly cloudy further north, with fog patches developing in the St. Anthony area and a low of 15.
The forecast calls for a mix of sun and cloud for everybody Thursday, with temperatures reaching highs of 19 to the south and 26 to the north.
