The activity will centre on making science fun through experiences, demonstrations and hands-on activities, including an egg drop competition and making flubber from glue, borax and water.

Offered by the Newfoundland and Labrador Laubach Literacy Council Inc. since 1990, the program is present in Corner Brook, St. Alban’s, Milltown, Marystown, Clarenville, Pollard’s Point, Hampden, Grand Falls-Windsor, Charlottetown and Port Hope Simpson.

The council is a provincial, non-profit volunteer organization committed to raising the literacy levels in the province.

Trained tutors work with people of all ages to improve their basic functional skills in reading, writing, speaking, listening, numeracy and other skills.
