A Hopedale man charged in connection with a robbery at First Stop Convenience Store in Irishtown has made an application to be represented by legal aid.
When Allan Sonny Pijogge’s matter was called in provincial court in Corner Brook on Tuesday Peter Chaffey, acting as legal-aid duty counsel, informed the court that Pijogge, who was not present, was in the process of applying for representation through the Happy Valley-Goose Bay office.
Judge Catherine Allen-Westby set Pijogge’s matter over to Sept. 9 to allow time for his application to be processed.
Pijogge was charged with robbery and being disguised with intent in the April 28 incident on June 6. His co-accused, Craig Clayton Pittman, 34, and Mark George Childs, 38, are both facing the same charges and have court appearances scheduled for July 29.
