The federal-provincial program will provide $6 million for 95 different agriculture projects this year.
Dalley and Ritz were at the Glenview Farm, where owner Robert Walsh has fitted his dairy cows with collars that monitor their bodies to optimize milk production and breeding.
Walsh said that he’s grateful for the money, and he believes the government needs to invest in farming in Newfoundland and Labrador to maintain food security in the province.
