Premier Tom Marshall, centre, is meting with his cabinet in Corner Brook today and tomorrow.

Premier Tom Marshall is hosting the provincial cabinet in his home district of Humber East for the next two days.

The government ministers have all gathered in Corner Brook for meetings today and Thursday.

Before the discussions begun in the boardroom of the premier’s office in the Sir Richard Squires Building, Marshall and his cabinet met with local media for a photo opportunity. They would not take questions and an agenda for the cabinet meetings was not provided.

The premier was asked if he would be taking up the ALS ice bucket challenge issued to him by the ALS Society of Newfoundland and Labrador the day before. He said to “stay tuned” and joked he might delegate one of his ministers to do the challenge aimed at raising funds and awareness of the disease.

Marshall and the cabinet ministers will be available to take questions from the media Thursday morning.
