A daylong celebration to honour Mother Earth will take place at Prince Edward Park this Saturday.
The event starts at 6:30 a.m. with a sunrise ceremony and runs into the evening when it concludes with a sunset ceremony.
Throughout the day there will be drumming and talking circles, yoga, a water ceremony, art and craft activities, nature walks and much more.
The event is being planned by a group of people who represent diverse backgrounds in Mi’kmaq culture, yoga, reiki, Buddhism, Shamanism, art, environmental education and advocacy.
The gathering is free and participants should bring their own food and lawn chairs.
