College of the North Atlantic alumnae Karla Pilgrim, Terri Lynn Eddy and Renée Batten will be helping welcome students back to class at most of the college’s 17 campuses this month.

The members of the country music trio The Secrets met while studying performance and recording at the college.

Their college concert tour, which started with stops in Port aux Basques and Stephenville on Tuesday and Corner Brook on Wednesday, is just one of many activities planned to mark the start of the 2014-2015 academic year.

The group are scheduled to perform in St. Anthony today, Happy Valley Goose Bay on Friday and Baie Verte on Monday.

“We are thrilled to have three talented alumnae help us to celebrate the start of what promises to be a great year at College of the North Atlantic,” said Ann Marie Vaughan, the college’s president and CEO in a prepared release.

Other orientation activities will include student barbecues, movie nights, community tours, an Amazing Race, costume theme days and carnival games.
