Purina Walk for Guide Dogs held in Deer Lake and Pasadena.

Lynn Chubb, her son Adrian, 6, along with his autism assistance guide dog Echo, led the 18 participants that took part in the Purina Walk for Guide Dogs in Pasadena Sunday, May 25, 2014 in the town. The Pasadena Lions hosted this walk raising $2,600 with more yet to come.

Meanwhile in Deer Lake 28 people took part in the walk hosted for the first time by the Deer Lake Lions Club. Their walk collected about $3,000.

All money raised will go towards helping provide dog guides to Canadians with disabilities at no cost. Each guide dog costs about $25,000 to raise and train.
