All Flood Victims of Hurricane Leslie in Port au Port Newfoundland 99% of them will not be covered by their insurances. One reason or another because insurance companies say that there are no proper drainages in place or no build in sub pumps to keep water from coming in. They should have told their clients what coverage’s they had and instruct them what needed to be done from the start. When they purchase their policy. Also They say outside water that comes in because of floods or high water levels is not cover by any insurance companies in Canada, Also the government says there is no more emergency monies to help these victims in Port au Port that had been affected by Hurricane Leslie .There lost are in the thousands of dollars and some items are not replaceable. Home owners are left to deal with the lost and to pay on their own. There is No Help for the Victims of Hurricane Leslie in Port au Port, Newfoundland. As of today 99% didn’t get any help not a cent with insurance or Government. Government departments all have been contacted. It is very sad. I am so disappointed with this government. Ship-Cove, Lower Cove, Piccadilly and West Bay has worse affected
