Indoor soccer Terry Young scores six in lopsided victory

Terry Young booted home six goals to lead West Side Monarchs Gold to a 14-4 whitewashing of Bar Room Tactics FC Sunday at Grenfell gymnasium.

Jeff Young and Cameron Locke scored two goals apiece to lead the gold squad to the lopsided Corner Brook Molson Indoor Soccer League matchup. Tom Beck, Travis Cormier, Joe Carroll and Richard Peddle also scored for the winners. Garret Brake (2), Adam Anderson and Robert Wheeler replied for Tactics FC.

The following is a quick look at other indoor soccer games played Sunday at Grenfell gymnasium:

Whelan's Gate 10,
West Side Monarchs Black 3
Clarence Bennett and Cory Rideout scored three goals each to lead the charge for Whelan's Gate. Shawn Jenkins (2), Dean Porter and Wayne Allen also scored for the winners. Jeff Organ, Brian Walters and Mark Fitzpatrick scored in a losing cause.

Under-18s 2
Colin Lynch was the offensive weapon for the Rangers with a five-goal outing at Grenfell gymnasium.

Chris Griffin (3) and Dennis Bellows (2) rounded out the scoring parade for the Rangers.
Daniel Smith and Zack Scott were the snipers for the Under-18s.

League action resumes Sunday with Bar Room Tactics FC tangling with the Under-18s at 12 noon, West Side Monarchs Gold vs Whelan's Gate at 1 p.m. and Monarchs Black matching wits with the Rangers 2 p.m. at Grenfell gymnasium.
