Young guns lead Rangers to softball victory

Kim Jordan and Alex Pennell both went 3-for-5 to lead the KSAB Rangers to a 17-4 win over Whelan’s Gate Tuesday night.

Jessica Dicks also had a productive night with two hits in five at-bats for the Rangers in the Corner Brook Molson Ladies Softball League contest. Coolene Brake wielded the hot bat for the opposing bench driving in two runs and scoring on three occasions in a perfect 4-for-4 hitting display.

Katie Evans was a consistent performer for the losing side with three hits in four tries at Ambrose O’Reilly Memorial Field.

Donna Clarke spun the win over Nicki Warford in the pitcher’s circle.

League action resumes tonight with the Rangers tangling with the Rapid Power Sports Bees.
