Donna Clarke scattered 11 hits to pick up the win and tossed in a 3-for-4 effort on the diamond Tuesday night.
The end result was a 16-11 win for the KSAB Rangers over the West Side Monarchs at Ambrose O’Reilly Memorial Field in the lone Corner Brook women’s softball tilt.
Alex Pennell and Nikki Carter continue to be consistent performers for the Rangers, both going 2-for-4 with three runs scored padded to their stat line.
Laura Prosper carried the offensive load for the black and gold slapping four hits in five at-bats and scoring on two occasions.
Losing pitcher Selma Pike, allowing nine hits and one walk in a complete game, went 4-for-4 in the batter’s box for the Monarchs.
Dawn Ryan went 2-for-4 with three runs scored for the Monarchs.
League action resumes tonight with the Monarchs tangling with Whelan’s Gate 6:30 p.m. at Ambrose O’Reilly Memorial Field.
