Tim Cutler went 4-for-4 to lead his team to victory in a Corner Brook men’s slo-pitch softball matchup Wednesday night.
Shannon Byrne and Art Ryan also had productive nights for the winners — both going 4-for-5 — as West 96 eked out an 18-17 triumph over Atlantic Engineering.
Dave Bursey was the losing pitcher and belted a trio of hits in a 3-for-3 outing at the Monarchs Complex.
Bursey’s pitching effort was supported by Rob Aucoin’s 3-for-3 performance in a game where the winners pushed four runs across in the fifth and sixth innings after turning the game around with a five-run rally in the home half of the fourth.
Sheldon Randell got in on the action for the winners with three hits in four at-bats.
