CORNER BROOK — Michael Tibbo’s dominance of the course at Blomidon continues.
Tibbo won the men’s golf club championship title at Blomidon Golf and Country Club with a two-day total of 139 Sunday under sunny skies.
Tibbo had a 66 round Sunday after opening with a 73 on Day 1 to win the title by 11 strokes.
John Meaney took second spot with a two-day total of 146, while Mike Mullins (149), Andrew Bruce (153), Wayne Ford (153), Brian Buckle (155), Daniel Cluney (155), Gerard Hynes (156), Andrew Margeson (156) and Jordan Barry (157) rounded out the top 10 performers.
Karen Mercer won the women’s crown with a two-day total of 188 after carding a 93 round Sunday afternoon.
Louise Bishop (195), Bev Dingwell (199), Beta-Sue Newhook (200), Shirley Neilson (202), Joan MacDonald (203), Alfreda Cassell (205), Ada Burden (212), Elaine Lundrigan (215), Sue Pardy (215) and Mazie House (235) rounded out the women’s field.
Shawn Tetford and Peter Glavine shared the men’s B division crown with identical two-day totals of 161, while Darren Hayes won the men’s C crown with a gross score of 160 over two rounds at Blomidon over the weekend.
