Cluney heads into today’s final round at the Blomidon Golf and Country Club with a two-day total of 145 after carding a 72 round Tuesday afternoon.
Matt Bonnell holds down second spot with a 152 two-day total after registering a 74 round on Day 2 in the showcase of budding golfers on the city’s links.
Andrew Bruce (154), Jacob Barry (161), Patrick Hickey (162), Zack Hiscock (163), Daniel Bruce (171), Nathan King (178), Colin Fowlow (181), Patrick D’Eon (187), Noah Thomas (196), Daniel Penny (199), Joey Dennis (217), Ian Grover (218), Rami Habib (241) and Noah Dennis (268) rounded out the field in the 18-hole boys division.
Daniel O’Neil is leading the pack in the nine-hole boys division with a 73 total after shooting a 42 round Tuesday.
Kyle Brown (79), Joseph Cluney (85), Marcus Ford (86) and Alex Willis (86) rounded out the top five heading into the final round.
The nine-hole girls junior bracket features a battle of the siblings.
Paige and Abby Hickey entered the final round with identical two-day totals of 91.
Both budding golfers also carded 49 rounds Tuesday at Blomidon.
Taylor Cormier is 11 strokes off the pace in third spot. Helena McCarthy (105) and Aideen Nelson (107) round out the top five in the nine-hole girls bracket heading into today’s final round.
Angela Earle, the lone participant in the 18-hole girls division, carded a 92 round on Tuesday. Earle shot and opening-day round of 87.
Bragging rights to the respective titles will be on the line today.
