STEPHENVILLE — Josh White scored seven goals to lead the Stephenville Junior Jets to a 10-6 victory over the Bishop’s Falls Express Sunday at the Stephenville Dome.
The victory enabled the hometown Jets to earn a split in the Central-West Junior Hockey League two-game set after the Express posted a 5-1 triumph over the Jets Saturday night in the airport town.
White’s linemates played a key role in Sunday’s victory with Josh Walsh collecting two goals and three helpers and Dylan Noseworthy chipping in with a four-point game with a goal and three assists.
Jared King and Dylan Haggett scored two goals apiece for the Express in a losing cause.
Corey Brent and Stephen Best also lit the lamp for the Express.
On Saturday night, Jared King was the offensive star with a four-goal performance for the league-leading Express.
Jordan Osmond scored the other goal for the Express.
Josh White was the lone marksman for the Jets in Saturday’s 5-1 loss.
League action resumes this week with the Express travelling to Port aux Basques for a two-game set against the Port aux Basques Mariners.
