Balanced attack gets tour guides past 96ers

CORNER BROOK  A balanced scoring attack helped Marble Zip Tours down West 96 5-3 in the Corner Brook Molson Rec Hockey League action Thursday night.

Five different tour guides snipers recorded goals en route to the win with Jamie Brake, Jamie O’Connell, Tyler Scott, Jason Rowsell and Cyril Walsh each contributing goals.

Tyler Gardner picked up the win between the pipes for the Zip Tours squad, while Mike Bavis suffered the loss for West 96.

Sheldon Roberts had two goals in the losing effort, while Danny Abbass added a single marker.

Mooseracks 7, Meineke 5

Mitch Goodyear and Stuart MacNeil each had a pair of goals as the Mooseracks edged Meineke by a score of 7-5.

Chad Wilton, Joe Bennett and Mark Gillis contributed one marker each for the victors, while Jeff Carey backstopped his team to the win.

Paul Foley, Rodney Dyke, Ivan Blanchard Rob French and Ryan McMackin rippled the mesh in a valiant effort for Meineke.

Glen Porter took the goaltending loss.

Mazda 5, Health & Perfomance Physio 1

Colin Dunphy had a pair of goals as Mazda earned a 5-1 win over the physio crew.

Steve Borden, Scott Roche and Paul Bennett also scored for the winners, with Craig Hann allowing the lone marker in goal.

Ryan McMackin lit the lamp for the physio squad with Rob Roberts taking the loss in goal.
