Two goals from Foley lifts muffler men past physio crew

CORNER BROOK  Paul Foley scored twice as NAPA/Merry’s/Meineke defeated Health and Performance Physio 3-1 in Tuesday night play from the Corner Brook Molson Men’s Recreational Hockey League at the Kinsmen Arena II.

Scott Mosher supplied the other marker for the winning side.

Adam Buckle had the lone goal for the physio crew.

Glen Porter was the winning netminder.

In other action, Western Mazda’s Chris Grant was perfect between the pipes in shutting out West 96.

Rodney Dyke, Brad Lucas, Blair Rumbolt and Scott Roche did the damage offensively.

Mike Bavis was charged with the goaltending loss.

Elsewhere, Scott Wayson and Dwayne Evoy had stereo hat tricks as Marble Zip Tours pounded the Mooseracks 8-1.

Jeff Murphy and Gerald Bursey also scored in the triumph.

Mark Gillis mustered the Mooseracks’ only goal.

Craig McCarthy picked up the goaltending win, with Jeff Carey taking the loss.
