ST. ANTHONY Alyson Rumbolt scored two goals to leda Straits/Twin Towns to a 3-1 win over Rocky Harbour in the gold-medal game at the provincial Under-20-female hockey tournament Sunday at the Polar Centre.
Morgan McLean scored the other goal for the champions.
Vanessa Brown replied for the Rocky Harbour girls who call Gros Morne Arena its home base.
The following is a look at how things unfolded in round-robin play at the2014 Hockey Newfoundland and Labrador Steele Hotels Under-20 female C tournament at the Polar Centre over the weekend:
Rocky Harbour 9, St. Anthony Polars 6
Sara Reid was a dominant force for the Rocky Harbour girls out of the Gros Morne Arena with a five-goal performance in the tournament opener Friday at the Polar Centre.
Vanessa Brown had a two-goal outing for the winners, while single markers were added to the scoresheet by Katie Parsons-Hynes and Kaylee Gerrow.
Heather Richards and Kerry Patey had three goals apiece for the hometown Polars.
Corner Brook Royals 2, Straits/Twin Towns 2
Brooklyn Childs and Amanda Parsons dented the mesh for the Corner Brook squad in a 2-2 stalemate.
Kendra Waddleton and Krista Mackinnon replied for the Straits Minor Hockey Association representatives.
Rocky Harbour 4, Gander 3
Aimee Reid, Vanessa Brown, Sarah Reid and Becky Reid scored for the Rocky Harbour girls.
Stacey Collins, Beth Burt and Leah Pritchett provided the offensive punch for the Gander representatives.
St. Anthony Polars 11, Corner Brook Royals 5
Kerry Patey had five goals to lead the charge for the Polars, while Heather Richards chipped in with two goals and three five helpers.
Megan Pynn notched a hat trick for the winners, while Rebecca Sexton also scored for the hometown girls.
Laura Brown had a two-goal game for the Corner Brook side, while single markers came from the sticks of Kelsey Lush, Ashley Bromley and Amanda Parsons.
Corner Brook Royals 5, Gander 2
Amanda Parsons and Ashley Bromley had two goals apiece for the Corner Brook entry, while Brooklyn Child scored the other goal for the winners.

Tana Genge, Trisha Lawless, Krista Mackinnon and Kendra Waddleton scored for the winners.
Kerry Patey was the lone marksman for the host Polars.

Kaylee Gerrow and Vanessa Brown had two goals apiece for the winners, while single markers came from Becky Reid and Katie Parsons.

Morgan McLean, Jillian White and Kaitlyn Coles scored for the winners.
Kaylee Gerrow and Sara Reid lit the lamp for the Rocky Harbour represents.
St. Anthony Polars 4, Gander 0
Kerry Patey notched a hat trick and Heather Richard collected four assists to lead the Polars to a 4-0 win over Gander in the final game of the round-robin portion of the tournament.
The win enabled the host team to capture the bronze medal with a respectable 2-2 record in round-robin play.
