Nicholas lights it up in Bay St. George ball hockey victory

ST. GEORGE’S  Brandon Nicholas had a five-point outing, including a hat trick, to lead Clancy’s Pub to a 9-6 win over Harvey Gale & Son Sunday night.

Garrett Bennett notched a hat trick for the winners in the Bay St. George Men’s Ball Hockey League contest at the St. George’s Stadium.

Brandon Keating had a two-goal game for the victors, while Brandon O’Neil scored the other goal.

Daniel Alexander scored twice in a losing cause, while single markers came off the sticks of Gord Scott, Brent White, Tyler Cornect and Randy Alexander.

Meanwhile, Mike Hawco, Freddy Cutler and MacKenzie Noseworthy had two goals apiece to lead Central Service Station to a 9-3 victory over Skinner’s Pharmacy in the other league contest Sunday night.

Jason MacIsaac, Mitchell Gallant and Matt Crawford rounded out the scoring parade for the winners.

John Walsh, Brian Alexander and Nelson White dented the twine for the pharmacy gang.

League action resumes Tuesday with Central Service Station tangling with Clancy’s Pub at 8 p.m. and Harvey Gale & Son battling Skinner’s Pharmacy at 9 p.m. at St. George’ s Stadium.
