MASSEY DRIVE —The Mudslide cycling series concluded its season Sunday at Tipping's Pond in Massey Drive.
The series, organized by Cycle Solutions, is targeted towards young children, students and adults with the emphasis of promoting active living.
It consists of three races: May 13 at Prince Edward Park, June 3 at Pasadena Ski and Nature Park and Sunday's race.
The Mudslide trophy was presented to Humber Elementary with 28 points, as the school that yielded the most participants this year.
Second place went to St. Gerard's with 27 points, followed by C.C. Loughlin with 21 points.
In the adult division, Peter Ollerhead claimed first place in the 26-kilometre mountain bike race. Andrew May finished second.
"(The series) went fantastic with great turnouts," said race co-ordinator Jamie Harnum.
"Next year there is lots in the works. The Mudslide will be back, and hopefully some other bike events for kids."
