A 14-point effort from Milton Andrews helped C.C. Loughlin defeat Humber Elementary 37-33 Thursday in the opening game of the West Coast Provincial Grade 6 Boys Basketball Tournament at the C.C. Loughlin gymnasium.

Lucas Vincent added 11 points to the winning score.

Lucas Park picked up eight points in the loss, with Noah Lacour-Thistle and Braden Lockyer both draining six.

In the day’s other game, J.J. Curling downed St. Gerard’s 71-51.

Daniel O’Brien put up 27 points in the winning cause, with Logan MacRae picking up 18.

Jhoni Brake’s 26 points led the way for the losing side, while Matthew Burden had a dozen.
