Carter delivers for Rangers in win over Bees

CORNER BROOK  Nikki Carter drove in two runs going 3-for-4 at the dish as the KSAB Rangers stung the Rapid Power Sports Bees 12-8 Sunday night.

Jade Regular supported the offensive punch with a 2-for-4 performance, while Kim Jordan went 2-for-4 with two runs batted in and two runs scored at Ambrose O’Reilly Memorial Softball Field.

Claudette Sheppard was the top hitter for the Bees going 3-for-4 with a run batted in and run scored, while Kayla Brake and Ashley Penney had three hits apiece in a Corner Brook Molson Ladies Softball League contest fitted into a Sunday slot to make up for games cancelled due to rainy weather last week.

Donna Clarke, showing mid-season form with only walk on her stats line, scattered 17 hits and chalked up six strikeouts in a complete game to pick up the pitching decision over Jillian Wells.
