STEPHENVILLE -

At the heels of a two-week cleanup of private property in Stephenville, the beautification committee is holding a community cleanup day, in addition to initiating an anti-littering campaign today.

Coun. Laura Aylward said this is being done with support from Newfoundland Power, the Walk -a-Ways Parks and Trails Committee and Tim Hortons.

Groups and individuals interested in helping with the clean up are being asked to meet at 6 p.m in the parking lot of the W.E. Cormack Building, 35 Carolina Ave., located next to the Kindale Library. Rubber gloves and bags will be provided.

Following the cleanup there will be a community camp fire social with complimentary hot dogs and soft drinks. For further information, contact Aylward at 643-4209.
