CORNER BROOK  It was a huge night for Brad Burton and his Steers Insurance Curling Rangers as they were able to hand the Health and Performance Hawks their second loss on the season.

The Hawks might have been without some key players from their lineup, but the Rangers proved — following a 2-0 victory over the West Side Monarchs — that the defending champions are not going away.

Burton opened the scoring at the 37-minute mark and then sealed the deal with the insurance marker late in the game at the 80-minute mark.
