CORNER BROOK  Brad Roberts scored three times, while Craig Peddle and Cory Mosher added two markers each as the West Side Monarchs Black defeated the Under-18s 9-4 in action from the Corner Brook Molson Indoor Soccer League at the Pepsi Studio on Wednesday night.

Lucas Giroux and Clarence Bennett also found paydirt in the victory.

Ryan Dawe contributed three goals in the loss, with Andrew Peckford scoring once.

In earlier action, the Monarchs Gold defeated the Masters 1-0 by way of default.

At 4-1, Monarchs Black lead the league, with the Steers Insurance Curling Rangers behind them at 3-0. The Monarchs Gold are 2-0, ahead of Stephenville at 2-1. The Sorrento Tactics have amassed a 1-3 record so far, while the Under-18s drop to 0-3. The Masters are now 0-4.
