Two goals from Clarence Bennett helped power the West Side Monarchs Black to a 3-2 victory over the Steers Insurance Curling Rangers Wednesday night at the Pepsi Studio.
Lucas Giroux added a single marker in the Corner Brook Molson Indoor Soccer League victory.
Mike Chafe and Lyle Griffin provided the offence for the Rangers.
Mark Woodman earned the win in goal, while Jay Johnson suffered the defeat.
In the evening’s other game, the Under-18s outlasted the Masters 9-7.
Ryan Dawe put up four goals for the victors, while Andrew Peckford and Evan Martin both scored twice. Alex Hennessey chipped in with a single goal.
Liam Flynn, Todd Mercer and Paul Christopher all bulged the twine twice for the Masters, with Eddie Joyce notching one.
